Taken over by Guillaume and Marine de Rosnay and their children since 2018, the family estate of Château de Rochefort has extremely well situated vines, a few kilometres south of Nantes, in the municipality of La Haye Fouassière. With the help of Fabien Sachot, we wanted to give this several hundred-year old estate a new lease of life and produce a great quality white wine: We thus decided to isolate each plot to respect the special climatic features and let the gustatory characteristics of each plot to be expressed. The “Petite Noëlle” and “Grande Noëlle” plots for the communal cru La Haye Fouassière, the “Parc de Rochefort” for the Organic Muscadet, are examples of distinct climates with strong characteristics, and for some of them, on due south-facing hills, sloping towards the Sèvre Nantaise.
